Deputies from Brown's office first interacted with Rodger in April after a relative expressed concern about his well-being. Rodger told “a very convincing story” to the deputies to make them believe he wasn't going to hurt himself or someone else, and he didn't meet the criteria for further intervention at that point, Sheriff Brown said in an interview on CBS' “Face the Nation”

Sheriff Brown also said that the killings were “The work of a madman.” However, Elliot Rodger was the victim of a pagan and godless society, he was deprived of the gospel of Jesus Christ where he would have learned that sex is reserved for the marriage bed, instead he was deceived into believing that sex is free for all, as stated in their Public Schools Sex Education Textbooks teaching that any kind of sex is acceptable, including adultery, homosexuality, masturbation, and premarital sex. And here is what John the revelator says to you in Revelation 20:11-16, “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
